Observation: Spend 5 minutes in silence before God, thinking about what you read.
What do you notice that stands out to you as significant?
Application: Take a few minutes to meditate on Paul’s words to his disciple Timothy. If your mentor told you those same words, how would you receive them in your context? Journal about it or talk with a friend about it.
Prayer: Take 15 minutes to pray for yourself today, asking God specifically about the kind of ministry he would like to see you involved in. Then pray for others in the church who are actively making disciples.
Memorization: Write out the verse 2 Timothy 2:2.

Day 2

Scripture: Read Hebrews 12.
Observation: Spend 5 minutes in silence before God, thinking on verses 1&2.
Application: Take a few minutes to consider things that will remind you to keep your eyes on Jesus throughout your week. Make a list if it will help you. Compare your list with that of a friend from your home group and see if you pick up any other tips.
Prayer: Find 10 minutes to pray out loud today. Just have a conversation with God about the things that are on your heart after reading this bible passage, and meditating on the memory verse.
Memorization: Write out the verse 2 Timothy 2:2 twice.

Day 3

Scripture: Read John 15.
Observation: Spend 5 minutes in silence before God, thinking about what you read.
What do you notice about this passage that you didn’t before?
Application: Meditate on this thought—Jesus called his disciples “friends”. Can you envision yourself as a friend of Jesus? What would that mean to you? How would you spend your time with him?
Prayer: Take 15 minutes to pray in whatever form you would like. Just talk to Jesus like a friend. Pray for yourself, then pray for both someone who is or could be your mentor, and for someone who you could invest in.
Memorization: Try to recite 2 Timothy 2:2, re-read it as necessary.

Day 4

Scripture: Read Philippians 3.
Observation: Spend 5 minutes in silence before God, thinking about what you read.
What do you notice about the characters in these passages?
Application: Paul wrote these words with some intensity. Are there scriptural themes, or subjects in your life that just get you fired up? What are you passionate about? Journal about your passions, then compare them to Paul’s.
Prayer: Return to the model we learned earlier with ACTS. Spend time in Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. Pray it for yourself, and for someone who you might disciple.
Memorization: Recite 2 Timothy 2:2 three times throughout your day.

Day 5

Scripture: Read John 15 again.
Observation: Spend 5 minutes in silence before God, thinking about what you read.
What do you notice about these passages that you didn’t before?
Application: Take some time to visualize yourself grafted into Jesus’ vine. Pray, journal, or discuss with a friend about what it means for you to live connected to Jesus in such a way that he becomes your source for everything.
Prayer: Take 15 minutes to pray through the elements of your 1 page “rule of life” that your small group discussed this week.
Memorization: Recite 2 Timothy 2:2 four times throughout your day, and take a break to meditate on it for 10 minutes during your day.
